General Tips
Distance Management
- Stay Close or Far: If you’re 30 feet away, you’re safe. If you’re 2 feet away, you’re safe. The danger zone is around 10 feet.
- Approach from the Front: Always face her directly. If she creates distance, let her come to you or choose a safe attack to close in.
Battle Strategy
Rellana’s danger comes from being just out of parry range or not facing her. Keep these points in mind:
- Bread and Butter Move: This is the move responsible for most of your deaths. Learn its patterns.
- Challenge Runs: On any challenge run, you’ll face the same problems as with Melania. Adapt and overcome!

Parryable Attacks

- Parry Timing: Parry as soon as she starts pulling her sword back.
Helicopter Attack
- Description: Can be parried two different ways.
- Parry Timing: Parry as she starts to unwind. If at a distance, dodge instead of parrying.
Double Uppercut
- Description: Very consistent to parry.
- Parry Timing: Parry when her elbows start to rise.
Spell and Twist
- Description: My favorite parry in the fight.
- Parry Timing: Dodge projectiles, then parry as the blue sword twitches.

Phase 2 Only Attacks
Magic Wave Attack
- Description: Starts phase two.
- Dodge Strategy: Roll the first two waves, then continue rolling at the same tempo for the next two. Four evenly spaced rolls work best.
Fire Tornado
- Description: Based on your distance to her.
- Strategy: Run straight in during the wind-up, bait the tornado, then escape the blast radius. Avoid fire on the floor.
Moon Slams
- Description: Devastating if hit.
- Dodge Timing: Jump as soon as you see downward movement from the moons or her.
Quick One-Two
- Description: The hardest attack, responsible for most deaths.
- Parry Strategy:
- Commit: Parry as soon as she pulls the sword behind her.
- Roll Strategy: If at point-blank range, rolling back isn’t safe unless you have a light roll character. If so, roll backward and walk until she resets. For follow-ups, either walk backward or parry the easier cross slash.
