Easiest Bosses in Black Myth Wukong Ranked – Tier List
Four Heavenly Kings and Erlang Shen
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
The Four Heavenly Kings are the game’s warm-up, and this fight is intentionally easy.
You’re not meant to die here, as the game encourages you to regain health by performing certain attacks. Parrying is straightforward, and each King falls quickly.
After the Kings, you face Erlang Shen, who, despite his intimidating appearance, follows the same pattern: parry, perform a special move, repeat.
This fight is a visual spectacle rather than a true test of skill, making it one of the most enjoyable yet easiest boss fights in Black Myth Wukong.
Bullguard
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
The Bullguard is another boss that doesn’t offer much of a challenge. He’s technically a tutorial boss, with a basic moveset that’s easy to dodge.
Midway through the fight, you unlock the immobilize spell, a game-changer that makes the battle even simpler.
If you find yourself struggling with Bullguard, you might need to revisit your approach to the game’s mechanics.
Guangzhi
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
Guangzhi is a super early game boss in Wukong, and by the time you face him, you’ll likely have the immobilize spell, making the fight a breeze.
His health pool is small, and although his moveset is fast and agile, it’s easy to dodge.
The only real challenge might be dealing with his fire attacks, but even those are manageable with some practice.
Overall, Guangzhi is more of a warm-up than a real threat. Definitely, one of the best easiest early bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
Guangmou
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
Guangmou is one of the most forgettable bosses in the game, with a fight that’s more annoying than difficult.
He’s fast, spits poison, and can teleport, which can be frustrating, but his low health makes the battle short-lived.
Despite these annoyances, Guangmou doesn’t pose a significant challenge and is easily defeated once you learn his patterns.
Stone Vanguard
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
The Stone Vanguard might catch you off guard at first, as he did for many players.
His moveset is basic, but if you’re unprepared, you might find yourself panic-rolling to avoid damage.
However, once you understand his attack patterns, he’s a straightforward fight.
On the second attempt, most players find him much easier to handle, making him a minor obstacle on your journey.
Black Wind King
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
The Black Wind King might initially seem like a formidable opponent due to his speed and relentless attacks.
However, his tendency to teleport and prolong the fight can make him more of an endurance test than a real challenge.
Once you get the hang of dodging his moves, you’ll find that his bark is worse than his bite.
The Black Wind King might look like a Hard Boss in Black Myth Wukong, but he is actually pretty easy because of the fight that he prolongs.
Brown Iron Cart
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
The Brown Iron Cart is more of a puzzle than a traditional boss fight.
His design is unique, but the strategy to defeat him is simple: hug the wall next to his left arm and unleash your combos.
This tactic allows you to avoid most of his attacks and makes the fight more tedious than challenging.
While he’s tanky and the fight can drag on, there’s nothing here that should give you much trouble.
Gray Bronze Cart
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Similar to the Brown Iron Cart, the Gray Bronze Cart is another gimmick fight, but slightly more difficult. Y
You can’t just hug the wall this time—you’ll need to perfect dodge his fire breath or take cover behind obstacles.
While it’s more challenging than the Brown Iron Cart, it’s still an easy boss if you stay patient and use the environment to your advantage.
Out of both the brown and the gray cart, the latter one is definitely a better and harder boss in Wukong.
Lingxuzi – Giant Wolf Boss
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Lingxuzi is one of the coolest bosses in the game, especially if you’re a fan of beast-like enemies.
His attacks are visually impressive, and his grab attack is a standout moment.
Despite his fearsome appearance, Lingxuzi is relatively easy to defeat.
He deals significant damage, but he also gives you plenty of opportunities to counterattack, making the fight balanced but not overly challenging.
Lingxuzi is definitely one of the best early game bosses in Black Myth Wukong despite being an easy one.
Second Sister
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
The Second Sister, who transforms into a spider monstrosity, is more intimidating in appearance than in difficulty.
With Bajie by your side, this fight becomes much easier.
The spider’s erratic movements and poison attacks might throw you off initially, but with some well-timed dodges, you can take her down without too much trouble.
Despite her monstrous look, this boss is more of a minor hurdle in your journey. Still, when it comes to difficulty, the Second Sister Spider Boss is up there as one of the best and hardest early Black Myth Wukong Bosses.
Note: In the Easiest Bosses in the Wukong segment, we are only going for the ones that are on the easier side. When we are mentioning then as “hard”, it indicates that in the segment of easier bosses, they are hard.
Macaque Chief
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
In the category of fun bosses in Wukong, Macaque Chief is definitely up there. He is a fellow monkey like you and uses a wonderful sword to attack you.
He is relatively easy to fight in contrast to other bosses in Wukong who are hard because of the timing of his attacks that are easy to dodge.
Captain Kalpa Wave
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Captain Kalpa is an easy encounter as most attacks consist of kicking and stomping you. If you are too aggressive, those kicks can deal serious damage, making it a great boss fight in Wukong.
Wandering Wight
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
Wandering Wight, the massive head monk boss is one of the most annoying fights in Wukong. He is an optional boss and you can technically miss him, but if you were to rank him on difficulty, he is one of the hardest early optional bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
The main issue with the Wandering Wight is the speed of attacks. If you are able to defeat him here, then onwards, you will find the same speeding attacks, the sudden movement, which makes the bosses onwards easier.
Black Loong
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
Presumably, he is the first actual boss who gives you the hard vibes besides the monk. You have to learn the moveset of this boss, protect yourself from those AoE attacks, and you are good to go.
Not the hardest boss in Wukong, but definitely a cool boss who is decent in hardness.
Black Bear Guai
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
All the bosses you fought beforehand had something similar, but the Black Bear Guai had something different.
Yes, there are people who found him rather easy, and then there are those who found him a nightmare.
You have to go behind the bear, and when he goes berserk, in the fire mode, you also have to keep your distance.
This is something that other bosses before didn’t require as all of them covered their backs strongly. Also, he is a bit tanky, so definitely deserves to be among the Hardest Bosses in Chapter 1 of Wukong, if not the hardest in all.

Right Hand of Buddha
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
The weirdest boss in Black Myth Wukong. The first part is the hand, and the second is of an insect.
A confusing but easy boss in Black Myth Wukong.
Red Loong
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
A cool secret dragon fight in Black Myth Wukong. You need an item to clear the pathway behind the waterfall.
This is the same boss we saw in the game trailers, with cool electric animation and fight.
In the trailer, this boss was quite hard, but in reality, this boss is on the easier side of things.
Centipede Guai
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
An insect-like boss that is agile, runs around, has poison spits, and also does AoE damage by dropping on you.
The centipede Guai is one of the best hardest bosses you come across quite mid-level in the game.
The hardest attack it throws at you is when the Guai will summon small creatures that interact with you, explode, and poison you.
Violet Spider
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
This here is the second spider boss that you come across in Black Myth Wukong. Unlike the Second Sister, we are ranking Violet Spider as an easy-hard boss, but truly annoying fight in our Black Myth Wukong Best Easiest and Hardest Bosses Ranking Tier List.
Violet Spider is agile and has small legs that are hard to hit and easy to miss. She throws poison at you and if you lock onto her, it automatically targets the body, which is something you can’t hit because she is in the air, high above.
Zhu Bajie
Difficulty: ★★★★★
Facing Bajie, your comrade from Chapter 3, can be an emotional encounter as he’s temporarily corrupted by the Spider Lady.
Despite his increase in size and aggression, he’s relatively easy to defeat.
The fight occurs in two phases: first in a shrine area, then in a muddy environment. The mud can slow your dodging, making it slightly challenging, especially when Bajie transforms into a giant mudfish and hog.
The fight can drag on as he transforms repeatedly, but overall, it’s manageable with patience and perseverance.
The hardest encounter with Bajie is when you are in the muddy arena. It slows down your movement, and he also turns into a rhino, dashing onto you again and again, making it one of the hardest boss fights (in easiest bosses) in Black Myth Wukong.
Bottom Takes Top, Top Takes Bottom
Difficulty: ★★★★★
This duo fight, featuring the oddly named Bottom and Top, isn’t as challenging as one might expect.
The key to success is their alternating attack patterns—when one is aggressive, the other remains passive.
In the second phase, they combine into a ball, requiring precise dodging.
The final phase involves targeting the female character while the male one shields himself.
With good gear, this fight is more about patience than difficulty, making it a moderately challenging encounter.
Definitely one of the Best Boss Fights in Black Myth Wukong, and in our tier list, we are giving them a fair difficulty level. Hard in the easiest tier-list, but not the hardest overall.
Medium Difficult Bosses in Black Myth Wukong Ranked – Tier List
Kang Jin Loong (White Dragon)
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
Kanjing Long is a visually stunning boss, reminiscent of the Divine Dragon from Sekiro. The fight takes place on a frozen lake, adding to the challenge.
The main Boss Difficulty in Wukong lies in the awkward hitbox of this floating dragon.
Targeting its head or limbs is crucial, as attacking its body often results in missed strikes.
The dragon’s constant movement can be frustrating, but with practice, this boss is more of a medium difficulty level rather than a hard one.
Crimson Cart
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
The Crimson Card shares a similar appearance with other card bosses but with the added ability to move around.
While it might barbecue you with its fiery attacks, the fight itself isn’t particularly tough.
You might struggle to land hits, but overall, it’s not a boss that should cause too much trouble.
Rusty Gold Cart
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
Similar to the Crimson Card, the Rusty Gold Card has a bit more health, making it slightly harder.
However, it follows a similar pattern, and with careful attacks, it can be taken down without too much difficulty.
One of the hardest cart bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
Non-White
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
Encountered twice in the game, Non-White stands out for having a second posture bar above its health, reminiscent of Sekiro’s deflection mechanics.
Applying continuous pressure will deplete its stamina, leaving it vulnerable to attacks.
In the second phase, poison is added to its moveset, but the strategy remains the same.
It’s a fight that requires focus but isn’t overly challenging.
Unlike other bosses, the Non-White will have a parry up his sleeve, that makes the boss more interesting, spectacular to fight, and one of the best bosses in Black Myth Wukong.

Cyan Loong
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
Despite wielding the best armor and weapon, Cyan Long manages to take down opponents easily.
However, with the wind spell, the second attempt will become much easier for you.
This boss isn’t particularly difficult, but it can surprise you if you’re not careful.
The second strongest Loong Boss Fights in Black Myth Wukong.
Misty Cloud, and Cloudy Mist
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★
Another duo fight with a unique name, Misty Cloud and Cloudy Mist didn’t pose too much of a challenge, although they can take you down easily.
The key is to handle their turn-based attacks and watch out for the pinwheel’s summons.
Some players might find this duo tricky, but with the right strategy, it’s a manageable fight.
Quick as Fire, and Fast as Wind
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★
This pair of bosses is as strange as their name suggests, with one head floating in the air and the other rolling on the ground.
In the first phase, focus on the rolling head, then switch to the wind one, which requires precise timing to attack when it’s stuck on the ground.
While they might catch you off guard a few times, they’re more weird than truly difficult.
In contrast to other bosses in the Medium Difficulty Level of Wukong, they are definitely one of the Best and Hardest Bosses.
Macaque Chief (Third Encounter)
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★
The third and final encounter with the Macaque Chief is the toughest.
Set in Yellowbrow’s Pouch, the Chief’s moveset is expanded, with new clones and after-effect slashes reminiscent of Virgil from DMC.
His increased speed and agility make keeping up a challenge, but the fight is manageable, especially with your ally by your side.
White Clad Noble
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★
The White Clad Noble is a fast and agile opponent, presenting a significant early-game challenge.
His water-based powers and ability to blend into the background make dodging his attacks tricky.
The second phase introduces a snake-like form and additional health, but by then, resources are often depleted.
Despite being tough initially, mastering the combat system can turn this into a moderately challenging fight.
White Clad Noble is the first roadblock for most players, as forces you to dodge multiple times, memorizing the moveset, and resource-saving for the second phase.
Yin Tiger
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
Yin Tiger is a fierce blacksmith who doubles as one of the game’s most formidable foes.
Initially, he may not seem overly intimidating, but don’t be fooled.
His attacks come in relentless combos, leaving you with minimal opportunities to counterattack.
With high damage and significant health, he can make your fight feel like a test of endurance.
Spells like immobilize won’t faze him, making this boss a true challenge.
From here onwards, the journey to the real strongest bosses in Black Myth Wukong starts.

Yellow Loong
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
Yellow Long can be a nightmare for many, though he might not be as daunting if you’re at the endgame level.
This boss has a substantial health pool and can deliver punishing blows.
Despite his intimidating presence, with some preparation and strategy, you can overcome him in just a couple of attempts.
Yellow Loong is the strongest, hardest, and best Loong Boss in Black Myth Wukong.
Kang Jin Sta
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
As a dragon hybrid lady encountered in Chapter 3, Kang Jin Sta has a moveset that can easily catch you off guard.
Her electric shocks leave persistent AoE effects, making the fight more challenging, especially if you’re low on health and healing potions.
Despite the difficulty, her cool design and dynamic attacks make her one of the most memorable bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
Keeper of the Flaming Mountains
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
Known as the Keeper of the Flaming Mountains, this boss, often referred to as the Ying Yang fish guy, offers a visually stunning battle.
His arena is as vibrant as his attacks. The fight progresses from a manageable first phase to a more challenging second phase where the boss summons additional enemies and throws various projectiles.
The agility of the Ying Yang fish can make the fight a bit more intense, especially during the final stages.
Out of all the Best Bosses in Black Myth Wukong ranked, we might have the Keeper of the Flaming Mountains as the one with the coolest arena/environment.
The Gold Armored Rhino
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
The Gold Armored Rhino is a tanky adversary with a tough defense.
Its golden armor and lightning-charged attacks make it a formidable opponent.
Targeting its horn to break it and temporarily stun the rhino is essential for making progress. You have to use a 3-point pillar stance to do so.
However, the lengthy battle due to its high health makes it a grueling fight, requiring patience and strategy.
Captain Wise Voice
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
Captain Wisevoice can be a tedious encounter. While the boss’s design is impressive, the fight involves targeting specific weak points and waiting for the boss to become stunned before dealing significant damage.
The extended duration and occasional health debuffs can make this fight feel more like a chore than an exciting challenge.
By the way, the weak point here is the ankle. When stunned and dropped, you can focus on the head.
Stone Monkeys
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
The Stone Monkeys fight requires you to face off against fire and ice-based monkeys with coordinated attacks.
The initial battle is straightforward, but the introduction of both monkeys in the second phase adds complexity.
Despite this, the fight remains manageable with the right strategy and timing.
Emerald Armed Mantis
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★
The Emerald Armed Mantis is notable for its obscure access requirements.
You need to burn the grasshopper and trigger a specific cutscene to start the boss fight with the Mantis.
Once engaged, its speed and minimal downtime in the second phase can be challenging, though it’s not overly difficult if you’re prepared.
Emerald Armed Mantis is the best and the hardest medium difficulty boss in Black Myth Wukong.
Hardest Bosses in Black Myth Wukong Ranked – Tier List
Tiger Vanguard
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
Now we are in the hardest bosses category, and ranking for Black Myth Wukong.
The Tiger Vanguard is a true test of your skills. With its unforgiving attack patterns, including powerful sword slashes and a formidable health pool, this boss can make the battle feel incredibly intense.
It’s a fight that will push your dodging skills and endurance to the limit. Also, you are fighting the Tiger Vanguard early on, meaning he is actually the hardest early boss you find in Black Myth Wukong, with the highest difficulty level.
Duskveil
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
Duskveil stands out as one of the best secret bosses and one of the hardest in Black Myth Wukong due to its immense health and the added challenge of dealing with a scorpion ally.
The battle involves a lengthy and demanding fight, especially during the second phase when the boss gains blood-based attacks.
The presence of the scorpion adds a layer of difficulty, making this a tough encounter.
When fighting, the scorpion lord will come and distract the Duskveil. But, don’t come near the scorpion king, as both are still your enemies.
Bishui Golden Eyes Beast
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
The Bishui Golden Eyed Beast is a frustrating fight due to its constant movement and the lava it creates on the floor.
This boss’s relentless movement makes it hard to anticipate attacks and increases the overall difficulty of the encounter, even with the best endgame gear.
If the boss wasn’t more on the annoying side, he might be the hardest end-game bosses.
Supreme Inspector
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
The Supreme Inspector is a challenging boss with significant health and frequent movements.
While it’s tough, it’s not impossibly so. The fight requires patience and persistence to overcome, with the main challenge being its health pool and mobility.
Cloud Treading Deer
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
The Cloud Treading Deer can be a frustrating boss due to its tankiness and the addition of poisonous blood in the arena during its second phase.
The windbreaker charm can ease the initial fight, but the deer’s ability to freeze you makes the encounter challenging.
Yellow Wind Sage
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
Another one of those annoying bosses in Black Myth Wukong. He is hard, there is no doubt in that, but he is not the greatest and hardest boss.
The arena itself is quite annoying because of space and sand. Developers wanted to make the boss difficult, but there are much better ways to do so.
100-Eyed Daoist Master
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★
Just like the spider and the dragon, the 100-Eyed Daoist Master has a strange hitbox. The body is hard to hit, the legs are small, and the target focus trigger always latches onto the body.
The design and the attacks are awesome here but you have to focus on the sides, which the boss himself is defending with sweep attacks.
In the second phase, this boss will half the stamina bar, which makes the boss fight more annoying instead of actually being hard.
You can get the golden needle to negate the effects here, making the fight much easier.
Red Boy
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★★
One of my favorite, most fun, best, and hardest bosses in Black Myth Wukong – Red Boy. The attacks are awesome, there is nothing annoying, and no fillers here.
Red Boy has all the attacks that you would want in a hard boss. The fire, location, and aesthetics all match the vibe here.
You can dodge the attacks, and get queues on when he is attacking, but still, the whole theme fits perfectly.
Yaksha King
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★★
This is the third phase of the Red Boy Boss Fight in Black Myth Wukong. He is kind of a new boss as you step back into the arena.
Appearance, technique, attacks, and everything looks badass here. You can also compare Yaksha King with Malenia from Elden Ring.
All in all both Red Boy and his third encounter Yaksha King are some of the best and hardest bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
Yellow Brow
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★★
Everything about this boss is annoying honestly. The room is small, and the attacks he does are mostly AoE, catching you and punishing you.
The first phase is something good, but in the second phase, your weapon bounces off. You need to break the golden armor with heavy attacks.
Great Sage Broken Shell – Hardest Boss in Black Myth Wukong
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★★ ★
This boss might be the second biggest roadblock in Black Myth Wukong. Some even crown this “Sun Wukong” fight as the Best Boss Fight in Black Myth Wukong.
He fights like you, using tricks like stealing potions, grabbing pillar stance heavy attacks, and so on. He is badass and gives you a real tough time.
You can use the binder to exchange the OP attacks with a massive damage boost.
Erlang Sacred Divinity – Best/Hardest Boss in Black Myth Wukong
Difficulty: ★★★★★ ★★★★★ ★
There is a competition between the Broken Shell Wukong boss and the Erlang Sacred Divinity boss. Both are exceptionally hard, crowned as the hardest bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
He is fast, has crazy health, catches you, summons a dog, and has every secret there should be in a good boss fight.
Now, remember when we mentioned the parry mechanic, which is also the stamina mechanic for the boss? Well, Erlang has one out of two total bosses who have this mechanic.
He will deflect attacks until his posture goes down, more like Sekiro. You can use the wind charm to deplete his stamina.
