How to Unlock the Secret Zone in Chapter 5
To begin your journey toward the Bull King Demon Armor, you must first progress through the Pale Axe Stalwart questline in Chapter 5.
This questline is key to accessing a secret level, and it starts with a mini-boss encounter.
1. Defeat the Pale Axe Stalwart (Mini-Boss)
- Encounter the Pale Axe Stalwart, who reveals himself as an ally after you reduce his health to 25%.
- He will task you with destroying five elemental carts scattered throughout the region. The first cart is conveniently located nearby.
2. Destroy the Brown Iron Cart
- Climb the stairs near the Stalwart and head down a long corridor to find the Brown Iron Cart.
- This cart launches flamethrower attacks; avoid the fire by staying to its side.
- After defeating the cart, the area ahead opens up, completing the first part of your quest.
3. Progress and Interact with the Pale Axe Stalwart Again
- Rest at the Seeker Shrine and return to the location where you first encountered the Stalwart. He should now be standing at the edge of a cliff.
- Exhaust all dialogue options to trigger his move to the next location.
Elemental Carts and Their Locations
The next part of the quest involves locating and destroying four more elemental carts. Each cart is hidden in a different area and requires specific strategies to defeat.
4. Destroy the Grey Bronze Cart
- Head to Ashen Pass 2 through a narrow passageway where you’ll find the Grey Bronze Cart.
- This cart uses a dragon breath attack. Hide behind a nearby gap to avoid damage.
- Use the same strategy as before to defeat this cart.
5. Locate and Interact with the Third Cart (Tianba NPC)
- Proceed to Furnace Valley – Valley Entrance Waypoint and take the right path through the lava to reach a cave.
- Here, you’ll find the third cart containing the NPC, Guai Ma Tianba. Although non-hostile, it’s crucial to interact with this cart for the quest to progress.
- Completing this interaction is optional for obtaining the Dark Thunder weapon from Matiamba, depending on how you’ve progressed in earlier chapters.
Note: Unsure, but if you don’t get this questline, you might have to meet Tianba in all previous chapters.
6. Defeat the Crimson Silver Cart
- After defeating the main story boss in Emerald Hall, head up the upper slope area to encounter the Crimson Silver Cart in the Furnace Valley.
- Circle around and go to the top right side.
- This cart is extremely dangerous, with the ability to one-shot you. Equip the Fire Elemental Legendary Cloak from Chapter 1 for fire resistance.
- Utilize the Frost Bat to immobilize the cart during the battle.

The Final Elemental Cart and Unlocking Bishui Cave
7. Interact with the Stalwart at His Final Location
- Rest and continue through Ashen Pass 3 or return to Emerald Hall. The Stalwart should now be at his final location, known as the Cooling Slope – Field of Fire.
- Initially blocked by fire, this path becomes accessible after you defeat the Chapter 5 final boss, allowing an NPC to extinguish the flames.
You can either access this area from the Woods of Ember – Ashen Pass 2 or the Field of Fire – Fallen Furnace Crater.
8. Defeat the Rusty Gold Cart
- Access the top path of the Ashen Pass 2, where the Rusty Gold Cart awaits behind a frozen gate.
- This cart is challenging but manageable with proper fire resistance and strategic combat.
Instead of taking the path downwards, on your right, you have to take the path left. Near the frozen gate, you will find the fifth and the final golden cart to defeat in order to get the Bishui Cave Unlocked and craft the Bull King Armor in Black King Wukong.
Defeating the final cart will give you a flame orb, that is used for the area head, giving you flame resistance.

Exploring Bishui Cave and Crafting the Bull King Demon Armor
After defeating the Rusty Gold Cart, the path opens to the Bishui Cave, where you’ll face the final challenges required to craft the Bull King Demon Armor.
Come close to and interact with the golden pillar in the image above, which further sends you to the Bishui Cave in Black Myth Wukong.
9. Enter Bishui Cave and Defeat Bosses
- Enter Bishui Cave through the ice gate. Inside, you’ll encounter Bottom Takes Top and Top Takes Bottom, a duo boss with annoying shields. Utilize immobilization and frost effects to defeat them.
- Loot includes a Gold Tree Core and materials for mythical gear crafting.
10. Defeat the Bishui Golden Eye Beast
- Continue deeper into the cave to face the Bishui Golden Eye Beast. But first, you have to interact with the chest.
- Fire resistance is crucial as this boss deals with significant area-of-effect fire damage. Perfect blocks and dodges will be your best friends in this fight.
- Victory rewards include the Bishui Beast Bits and three Bull King Iron Horns, essential for crafting the Bull King Demon Armor.
11. Craft the Bull King Demon Armor
You can use the Bishui Beast Bits from the Bishui Beast to craft the Bishui Beast Staff in Black Myth Wukong. This staff is known for incredible critical hits.
- Use the Bull King Iron Horns to craft up to two pieces of the Bull King Armor in Black Myth Wukong.
- A fourth horn can be found in the Cave Depths Waypoint of the Secret Bishui Cave in a chest to your left going down from the stairs in a circular embroidery
- But you’ll still need two more to complete the set. These may be obtainable in a future New Game+ or through yet-to-be-implemented game content.
Note: We are not sure where you will find these Bull Horns to complete the set, but after defeating the boss in the same area, you will come across an entrance that is massive and has no enemies. They look like boss areas but are empty. So, there could be something new in the future. There could also be a possibility of a secret trigger for these areas.
